You can also automate fades, which is a good way to do fade-ins or add customized volume adjustments to your tracks. I attached images, I hope they show up properly. Updated AugThe fade tool is an excellent feature to take advantage of if you want to know how to fade in Logic Pro X. The only thing I haven't tried is reinstalling. I've tried using the 'region' option too, but nothing seems to work. All of the other cursors work fine, but the fade never seems to work. No matter if it's the primary or the secondary click, it just doesn't show up. ![]() All you have to do is find the spot of the recording where you want to perform the crossfade and drag the "handles" that you just created so that the channels volumes are moved from what level you have them at to whatever you want them to be. Do one of the following: Drag over the start or end point of an audio region. Fade tool not working Every time I try to use the fade tool, nothing happens. Learn all the different ways to slect the fade tool, and see which you prefer. Fading MIDI isn’t the same process as audio, and has to be done using automation. Then all you have to do is click on this colored line where you want the crossfade to start and it will create a point that you can click and drag to modify the channel volume. Fading audio, and MIDI regions can be easily done by selecting the fade tool from the menu, aswell as by using the shortcuts within Logic Pro X.
